My name is Valerie and at present time I am in college pursuing two degrees, one in Nursing and the other in Spanish. After that I really don’t know what I am going to do. I would like to work as a traveling nurse for a couples years and then take off to another country or countries and be a nurse or teach English. Even as a poor college student I have had some travel experience. I have been on countless road trips across the United States with my family, Zambia twice, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador on mission trips, and Canada. Helping people who do not have basic everyday necessities is a passion of mine and I feel like it’s my calling as well.

So what is this blog all about? I can tell you right now I am by no means the travel expert. I have only been out of the country a few times. This blog is all about encouraging people to travel even if they feel like there are too many obstacles in front of them. The world is out there waiting for you so go get it! I intend to share my experiences, successes, and failures on here. I am learning as I go and would like to share the things I have and will experience with you as to help you along with your travels. Plus it is always fun to look back and laugh at the crazy things I have done and the lessons I’ve learned.

Come and join me as I attempt to travel the world and make a difference. Experience things with me and feel free to contact me if you have any advice or questions. I hope this blog will make you laugh at times and will make you cry at times. The world is full of wonderful people and places to see. You just have to take a step to go experience it. So put on your smile and get going!
