Spring break is coming up and many of you may be looking for a place to stay in a warmer location than where you are now. If you are like many of the people from where I come from, you and half the people you know will all be flocking to Florida. A very nice place to visit in Florida, if you are looking for a non-commercialized area, is Bonita Springs.
It is right by Naples and 20 minutes from Fort Myers Beach. This town is not big but it is not small either. There are plenty of unique restaurants as well as your typical steakhouses and Italians.
If you are looking to get your nails done I’m pretty sure there are around 50 nail salons within a five mile radius, so you should be good to go. A lot of people have their own little businesses so it’s nice to walk around and visit all the little shops. There are only two small touristy shops on that are on the main stretch to the beach. The houses on the beach are super pretty and it’s nice to drive by and look at them. During a nice day Bonita Beach is crowded but if you walk a little ways it is not as bad.
Overall Bonita Springs is a great place for someone looking for a place without a bunch of crazy teens. As for me being only 18 at the time, this wasn’t my favorite location in Florida. The beach made it worth it though.
Have you ever been to Bonita Springs, FL?
